“The success of Montenegrin institutions is also indicated by the fact that the total budget set aside for users amounts to 3.3 million euros,” said Milos Markovic, Acting Director. Director General of the Directorate for European Territorial Cooperation in the Ministry of European Affairs. Approved projects within the EURO-Med call will enable institutions and organizations to improve the conditions for sustainable development and improve the natural resource protection system.

During the meeting, the users were familiarized with the rules for implementing project activities with a special focus on the project’s financial management of the project. In addition to representatives of the Ministry of European Affairs, useful information was also provided by representatives of the Ministry of Finance of Montenegro and the Joint Secretariat of the Program, which is headquartered in Marseille, France 🇫🇷.

The meeting was also attended by a partner institution from the Institute of marine biology, University of Montenegro on behalf of the MEDSEARISE project, which used the meeting to convey to the institutions in Montenegro their impressions of cooperation  with partner institutions of the project as well as the results achieved so far. As the meeting was also attended by some stakeholders in the MedSeaRise project, this was a real opportunity to introduce them to the project tasks and activities that lie ahead of us in the second period.
