🌊MedSeaRise Project Meeting in Barcelona! 

The partners of the MedSeaRise – Interreg Euro-MED project gathered in Barcelona for a dynamic two-day meeting hosted by the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce (BCC).

The event opened with a warm welcome from Ms. Alicia Casart, Director of the Infrastructure Department at BCC, who shared insights about the Chamber’s work and the city’s commitment to sustainability. Following the opening, the Lead Partner, ANATOLIKI S.A., presented the project’s management framework and outlined the upcoming steps for coordination and delivery.

The first day focused on the partners’ case studies, showcasing results on ecosystem and anthropogenic impacts under various sea level rise scenarios. Partners exchanged experiences, discussed the challenges faced during implementation, and planned future stakeholder meetings. Representatives from the Natural Heritage Mission also participated, providing continuous support and valuable input.

During the second day, attention turned to project deliverables. Work Package Leaders presented progress and next steps, as the project enters its final semester and key results begin to take shape.
Ms. Vera Vougiouri from the Natural Heritage Mission shared updates on their activities, offered guidance to partners, and reaffirmed the Mission’s ongoing support for the project.

The meeting concluded with a session on communication activities led by ANATOLIKI S.A., followed by an open and constructive discussion that highlighted the strong spirit of collaboration among partners.

Things are always better when we come together — and Barcelona was no exception!
