The MedSeaRise Workshop on Adapting to Sea Level Rise in the Mediterranean will be held on December 1, 2025, in Barcelona, at the Barcelona Chamber of Commerce.
Meanwhile, the MedSeaRise project, co-funded by the Interreg Euro-MED programme, successfully organised a technical workshop in Barcelona. During this event, the event brought together leading experts to address one of the most urgent climate challenges in the region: sea level rise in the Mediterranean.
🔎 Key Highlights
• About MedSeaRise: It is a European initiative supporting adaptation strategies to sea level rise across the Mediterranean. The Barcelona Chamber of Commerce participates as a project partner.
• The workshop analysed the potential impacts on critical infrastructure and natural ecosystems in our territory.
•The project promotes an advanced methodology. It integrates international climate models, GIS tools, and socio-economic and cartographic data. This approach helps quantify exposure and future risks.
